Bible the Holy Book

Greek ancient manuscripts of complete holy book (Bible) are available which were calligraphically copied before the period of Mohammed. Even older manuscripts were printed and published by Bible students. Many of those are even older than the existence period of Islam.

We can see the style and topics of these manuscripts are the same as these which were in the period of Mohammed because these manuscripts existed even before the birth of Mohammed. If one gets a chance to visit Europe, one can see these ancient manuscripts in the museums where they are placed with great care and observation.

I would like to mention some of very famous manuscripts placed there.  These manuscripts are at least as old as we are mentioning, but it is very possible that they are even older. Though the oldest manuscript of Old Testament contains Torah, Psalms and the other prophetic books of Israel.

1. Alexandrian Manuscript is saved in British Museum of London. This Manuscript was calligraphically copied in 622 AD, about 170 years before the calendar of Hijra.

2. Sinai Manuscript is also placed in British Museum. This was bought for 100000 ponds, worth of nearly 1500000 rupees. This manuscript was calligraphically copied during the middle of the fourth Century, almost 270 years before Hijra.

3. Vatican Manuscript is placed in the Pope’s Vatican Library situated at Great Rome city. This was calligraphically copied at the start of fourth Century, almost 300 years before Hijra. This manuscript is written on a skin made into very strong and long- lasting paper. Many archaeologists accept its authenticity.

4. Hebrew Manuscript. This is from ninth Century but many scholars believe that these Hebrew manuscripts are the exact copy of the original and brought to us. If fact the ancient Greek manuscript is called Septuagint. Between 150 BC and 200 BC this was translated from Hebrew to Greek language which means this translation existed 800 years before Hijra.

There can be found many other ancient translated manuscripts of the Holy book (Bible) around the world. These have been translated in Hebrew and Greek languages even before Islam. Famous among those translations are Syrian, Latin, and KUTABI languages. Scholars believe that these are from the third Century. The ancient calligraphic manuscripts are present from the fifth and sixth Centuries. The strongest proof of authenticity and unchanged shape is that old church fathers’ writings are abundantly available which were being used in that era. Consider that period of ancient church fathers and see that this period was far older then the start of Islam.

Experts have searched and reported that the accuracy of the Holy Book (Bible)  is very much the same today as it was during above written times. Biblical manuscripts are the same as these were centuries before the existence of Islam and no effort was made to change or reshape these manuscripts.
